I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
